Where Spirit Takes Me

Whew, the past few days had me travelling from Hawaii Polynesia to the African Savannah. 

I danced with great tribes. Felt the vibrations ring through my body as I merged with the plains and the oceans. 

I danced with John Travolta and sang with Natasha Beddingfield.

I ran in meadows of flowers and bees, squished my feet in the mud and watched a herb of deer rise with the morning sun.

I pulled a little girl from a cage, afraid to come out, and yet with a gentle hand in mine, she emerged. Together we watched children play, and listened to their squeals of glee and laughter until she was content being with them.

I helped set a pile of old dead wood we cleared ablaze, creating a fire so big that when the ashes settled, a deep cavern appeared.

I sang soft lullabies with a dozen grandmothers.

I watched male college youth playing volleyball and soccer while their veins pumped with endless possibilities. 

My heart swelled open so wide, that I wept tears of great joy from the pride and celebration the parents of these young men were experiencing, knowing they were the future, now.

And I watch the sunrise over the Savannah that opened the dawn of earth.

Seems like a lot in a few short days, well, that’s only a glimpse. ✨
